HKU Architecture Public Lecture Series Fall 2020
Curated during the time of worldwide pandemic of coronavirus, the Fall 2020 Public Lecture Series, Department of Architecture, The University of Hong Kong, was transformed into a “truly public” movie-lecture series that went completely online, combining movie screenings followed up by discussions, by directors, historians, architects, designers, experts and cinéphiles. Movies selected have close ties with archiecture, urbanism and related social and economical issues. The key visual and poster design of the series are based on the concept “Posters in Posters”, casing movie-poster-esque visuals with specific proportion in a larger space holding information of the lecture. The photomontage and typesetting are paying homage to the selected movies and give a cinematic taste through the visuals. Special thanks to Professor Nasrine Seraji, director of the lecture series.
